I Once Struggled With Teaching Reading Too...




Hi! I'm Dr. Marnie Ginsberg, a former classroom teacher.

And, like you, I paid attention in my education classes and got good grades.

But when I began teaching, I realized I didn't really know how to teach EVERY child how to read...

...And I didn't like it—

I went into teaching to make a difference!

So, I pursued a lifelong quest to figure out how to make teaching reading EASIER and MORE EFFECTIVE.

My journey involved extensive research, testing, and LOTS of practice.

I also gained invaluable experience through a phenomenal opportunity to lead a federally-funded experiment with schools in 8 states.

And, during that time, I learned what worked – and what didn’t.

(My research was even recognized by the What Works Clearinghouse—a resource that guides educators with evidence-based practices.)

With that knowledge, I created powerful lessons.

And the outcome…

Reading Simplified was born – an approach to teaching beginning or struggling readers of all ages.

I opened the Reading Simplified Academy in 2016.

And, today over 17,000 teachers have participated in the Reading Simplified Academy.

Our goal: equip teachers with this research-based, cutting edge, approach to enjoy a classroom of proficient readers faster with less work on their end.
